APOC alumni launch STROOME.com

On April 21, 2010, APOC alumni Nonny de la Pena and Tom Grasty launched STROOME.com. Stroome is a collaborative video editing community for journalists and entertainment content creators who want to share video and audio, and “mix it up and mash it out.” The site allows people to upload their videos, share full videos or clips, and offer various levels of permissions for others to use, re-edit, “mash up” and remix the content. The collaborative “community” aspect of this site could be a godsend for journalists, especially local and hyperlocal journalists, who need to reach out to each other for visual content. It also provides an amazing opportunity for entertainment and sports content creators to share and remix video.
